Process Lasso – Keep Processes Under Control, Prevent Computer Freezes
In a perfect world, processes that run in the background do not eat up all your system resources, nothing goes awry and your processor usage never shoots up to 100%. But we do not live in a perfect world, do we? So in the imperfect world we live in processes will hog the processor and will cause your computer to slow down, even halt to a stop. There are specialized software applications that aim to do away with such problems.
One such application is the Bitsum Technologies-developed Process Lasso. The download weighs in at just 1.5MB, meaning you will download this useful application onto your computer in no time at all. The installation process goes along smoothly, with all the help you need being provided by the setup wizard.
What do you have on your system once the installation process is complete? You have a utility that improves system responsiveness and stability. Freezes and hangs occur because the Windows operating system allows programs to hog the CPU. Process Lasso reduces the priority of processes that are not important and processes that hog your processor. If you don’t want Process Lasso to reduce the priority of a specific process, you can always define which processes you would like the software to monitor and which to be left alone. You can organize the priority of processes according to various settings available in the Operation Configurations – like game-playing setting, antisleep setting, or high-performance setting. Or you can manually rearrange the priority of the processes.
Some processes eat up more system resources than other. To identify them, Process Lasso displays graphs and various other representations to show you which processes are resource hogs. CPU hogs can be blacklisted and thus you improve your computer’s performance. Speaking of the visual, Process Lasso’s UI (user interface) is clean and quite helpful. With some of the easier commands you should not have a problem. With the more technical command options you my have – luckily enough there are plenty of instructions in the program’s Help file.
A free piece of software that ensures your CPU is always dedicated to the applications you need. An application that helps your computer work faster and prevents hangs and freezes.
